$333 million expected to be allocated for the spaceport development program
Russia’s draft budget for 2017 envisages allocating about 173.24 billion rubles ($2.7 billion) on space activities, according to a document posted on the federal portal of draft laws and regulations.
According to the attachment to the draft federal law on the federal budget for 2017 and the planned period of 2018-2019, 92.46 billion rubles ($1.5 billion) and more than 21 billion rubles ($333 million) are expected to be allocated for the federal space program and the spaceport development program, respectively. More than 1.2 billion rubles ($19 million) are expected to be spent on maintaining the potential of the Baikonur spaceport in Kazakhstan.
Also, about 38.33 billion rubles ($608 million) are expected to be allocated for the 2012-2020 target program for maintaining, developing and using the GLONASS satellite navigation system.

According to the document, more than 2.2 billion rubles ($35 million) are expected to be allocated from the federal budget to set up a megawatt transport and energy module with a nuclear propulsion unit.
Another 1.95 billion rubles ($31 million) are expected to be spent on "selecting and training" cosmonauts, the document said.
A total of 622.33 million rubles ($9.9 million) is planned to be allocated for insuring risks and liability during spacecraft launches and flight tests.
Subsidies for Russia’s Roscosmos space corporation will equal 314.87 million rubles ($5 million), according to the document.
