Russia hopes that 'partners' 'will fulfill everything that they promised'
Russia is ready to extend humanitarian pause in Aleppo for as long as possible, until it faces intensification of militants' activities, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Oct. 20 after talks in Berlin.
"We also informed about the Russian side's plans to extend the pause in delivering airstrikes (in Aleppo) for as long as possible, depending on the developments in this terrirory," Putin said. Russia is ready to observe the pause "until we face intensification of activities of armed groups in Aleppo," he added.
"We hope that our partners, first of all U.S. partners, will fulfill everything that they have promised so far on separating the so-called moderate opposition from Jebhat al-Nusra terrorists and the like, so that we understand how we can continue joint work," he concluded.
