Russia and Saudi Arabia have signed a joint memorandum of cooperation in the oil and gas sectors, Saudi Minister Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khalin bin Abdel Aziz al-Falih said on Oct. 23.
He said the sides have already begun implementation of a number of joint projects, including in the area of exchange of experience and technologies in the oil and gas sectors.
Earlier in the day, al-Falih noted that viewpoints of his country and Russia are getting closer.
A Russian delegation led by Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak arrived in Saudi Arabia on Oct. 22. According to the ministry, the agenda includes encouragement of investments in the oil and gas, and electricity sectors of the the two countries.
