'Nothing has changed since yesterday'
Russia’s IT watchdog Roskomnadzor said on Nov. 11 representatives of LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network, have not yet addressed it on the issue on localizing personal data.
"No, no one has talked to us so far. Nothing has changed since yesterday," spokesman for Roskomnadzor Vadim Ampelonsky said.
A representative of LinkedIn earlier told TASS that the network was interested in meeting with Roskomnadzor’s representatives to discuss storing personal data.
On Nov. 10, the Moscow City Court rejected the appeal of LinkedIn against its blocking in Russia. The lower Tagansky district court earlier ruled to fulfill Roskomnadzor’s demand to ban LinkedIn for violating the law on personal data localization.
Roskomnadzor's spokesman told TASS that the watchdog may block LinkedIn in the beginning of the next week already.
