The stormy wind and pouring rain have caused the emergency blackout in central Russia’s Kaluga region, where about 7,200 people remain without electricity, Russia’s Ministry of Energy reported on its website on Nov. 19.

"Without electricity now remain 89 settlements in the region’s nine districts (about 7,200 people)," the ministry said. The repairing involves "30 teams of 125 people, using 30 items of special equipment."

A week earlier, more than 20,000 people in the Kaluga region were cut off electricity due to stormy weather conditions.
