Chief Executive Officer of Russian oil major Rosneft Igor Sechin will depart to Venezuela right after the APEC summit to discuss joint projects with local PDVSA.
"Right now," Sechin said on Nov. 18, responding to the question whether he flies to Venezuela after the summit. "We have five production projects there; we are producing 9 mln tonnes per year in Venezuela," he said.
"We are ready to work in different formats but prefer bilateral formats with our partner," Sechin said responding to a question whether an alliance with China’s CNPC and PDVSA is discussed.
It was reported earlier Rosneft and PDVSA made four agreements on strategic cooperation at the end of July. In particular, documents were signed related to the strategic plan of investments in oil and gas sphere and a joint venture for natural gas supplies.
