Russia's Minister of Sports Vitaly Mutko does not rule out possible attempts to discredit results of the Russian national team at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
"Apparently, the work against us will continue, and methods of that work are clear," he said in an interview with the Match TV channel on Aug. 27.
"I believe, there will be an attempt to discredit our results both at these Games, and it would not surprise me if they include now into the report of the World Anti-Doping Agency some other name in addition."
"We must retain relations with the 'winter' international federations," he continued. "Next week, we shall meet with presidents of our 'winter' federations."
The Russian national team was the fourth in the unofficial medal standing with 56 medals: 19 gold, 18 silver and 19 bronze medals.
