Russian and Iranian Presidents, Vladimir Putin and Hassan Rouhani, noted the inadmissibility of US’ aggressive actions against Syria and spoke in favor of unbiased investigation of the incident with chemical weapons in Syria’s province of Idlib, the Kremlin press service said on April 9 after their telephone conversation.
"The presidents exchanges view on the situation in Syria. Both sides noted the inadmissibility of US’ aggressive actions against a sovereign state in violation of the international law. Vladimir Putin and Hassan Rouhani called for an objective and unbiased investigation of all the circumstances of the April 4 incident with chemical weapons in the Syrian province of Idlib. The leaders also noted the importance of further close cooperation on political and diplomatic settlement of the armed conflict in Syria," the press service said.
